The red charging cabinet MAUS Laden is a robust unit equipped with multiple integrated charging points. It’s a smart safety solution designed for controlled and fire-safe charging of lithium-ion batteries. The cabinet is constructed from durable metal and features perforated shelves that allow for effective dispersion of extinguishing agents.
The shelves are prepared for cable routing, and a strong espagnolette lock ensures the cabinet remains closed during a fire. The spring-loaded hinges serve two important functions: they prevent the cabinet from being left open, collecting dust when not in use, and help keep the door shut, containing the extinguishing agent even if the cabinet hasn't been locked.
The cabinet’s electrical components are IP-rated, making it suitable for use in virtually any environment.
Charging cabinets in the Laden series come equipped with Stixx PRO units – passive, pressureless fire suppression devices that automatically activate in high heat. The solution has been tested in cooperation with Safety & Navigation Group, Optimel, and insurance companies.

Inside the MAUS products there is a solid substance of a potassium compound. Potassium radicals are very active and they interrupt the chemical combustion of very small particles of gas, the result is a more effective extinguishing agent than conventional powder. Another important feature of aerosols is that the dropping of velocity of the particles decreases as the surface becomes larger in relation to the mass, which makes the air resistance relatively large in relation to the gravitational force. This results in particles staying suspended for a longer period of time, contributing to a longer inerting period creating a re-ignition protection. Together, these factors make PGA (pyrotechnical generated aerosols) a very effective extinguishing agent. The extinguishing effect per unit of weight is in the range of 3-10 times.
